Horror film ENDZEIT - EVER AFTER premieres at TIFF 2018!

"Carolina Hellsgård’s chilling second feature follows two women fighting for their lives in a
post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies — a future Hellsgård presents as both horrific and hopeful.

With women in every major creative role, ENDZEIT is a different kind of zombie movie. Set during a terrifying
near-future zombie apocalypse, Carolina Hellsgård’s sophomore feature is chilling and doomladen, but it’s
also a transfixing, gorgeous, and unusually intimate sort-of road movie — in which humanity has come to its
end and nature is reclaiming its terrain."

"An enjoyably grim fairy tale that injects fresh life into the undead genre."

Toronto Hidden Gem: 'Ever After' Is a Feminist Take on a Zombie Apocalypse

"What The World Needs Now Is Endzeit’s Sweet Zombie Apocalypse"

"What if humanity’s apocalypse wasn’t the world’s end?"

"Nervenzerreibend, kontemplativ und radikal"

"Carolina Hellsgård, writer Olivia Vieweg and the largely all-women crew help bring forth a
zombie film that both George Romero and Agnes Varda would be proud of, and that is incredibly impressive."

"The film holds at its heart the unseen potential of a feminist utopia and is thus surely
one of the most empowering and optimistic zombie films ever made. Endzeit – Ever After speaks
through the poetry of horror of discovering alternate ways to survive in desperate, failing systems."

WANJA marks the feature debut of its director Carolina Hellsgård, who seems keen on maintaining a certain non-judgemental distance
between audience and leading character, that allows her to be all the more real, in an unflinching portrait of a woman that is far from

The heartbeat of this film is Hellsgård’s script; with its simple and sparse dialogue, it is able to show and never tell.
The creation of Wanja is excellent, a blend of strength and uncertainty. (...) The use of Wanja’s relationship with animals is
exceptionally crafted and expresses her as a character far better than pages of dialogue ever could. This is a great film,
with a protagonist not yet ready to give in, a masterly shot urban landscape and an eye on keeping the viewer engaged
